Company Directors Jonathan Butler and Albert Willow established Butler & Willow in August 1993 to design and install bespoke storage systems and office equipment to a broad customer base across the UK. Prior to this they had worked together for 18 years at a Nottingham company in the same market sector.
A steady rate of growth led the company to move to new premises in Long Eaton in 1995. With considerably larger premises, including a large warehouse, the company was able to start employing more staff to cope with the increased demand for their products and services.
Year on year the company has continued to grow significantly and, working with clients such as GAP and Woolworths, turnover has now increased to £2M. The business is continually recruiting more staff to maintain the high standards of service and, to accommodate this growth, the premises have also been developed to provide more office and warehouse space.
More recently a new, high quality Italian system called Magpie shelving has been added to the broad range of products available at Butler & Willow and extends their expertise into the domestic market.
Magpie is an adjustable, versatile and highly adaptable steel storage system designed to meet the ever-increasing demands of today’s light to medium storage environments. It has a variety of applications that make it particularly suited to the retail and hotel sectors, as well as the engineering, distribution and automotive industries. It works particularly well when storing archive boxes.
The key components of the Magpie system are pre-built vertical frames and ‘clip in’ horizontal storage levels allowing ease and speed of assembly. A wide range of accessories transform the basic Magpie system into a tailor made installation.
